As the Waters cover the Sea

"For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea." - Habakkuk 2:14

"The sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on the heights." - Habakkuk 3:19

In our reading today, we discovered the joy of these two verses. How amazing to be participants on the earth as it is being filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord.

When you think about all the seas and the depths of them, this is the comparison we are to think about in relationship to the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord in the earth today. How powerful this imagery is when we really lay hold to this truth in our spirits.

Habakkuk 3:19 really points out that the LORD is our strength. The Lord enables us to move into the high places as directed by Him. We can be sure that He will gives us all the strength that we need for the tasks that lie ahead.

Do you need strength today? I pray these two verses will encourage your spirit and move you to a deeper place in your walk with the Lord today.

Todd

Has your heart been enlightened lately?

"I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better. I pray also that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in the saints. and his incomparably great power for us who believe." - Ephesians 1:17- 19

To have the spirit of wisdom and revelation unlocks the door to knowing HIM better.

Hold fast to the hope that He has called you to by having the eyes of your heart enlightened.

The power that is at work within us, is incomparable to any other power. If you want to see this great power at work in you, you must BELIEVE. We read in other passages of scripture we must confess with our mouth and believe in our heart. The heart and belief once again in these verses are stressed in order to see God at work in powerful ways in YOU. Remember, greater is HE who is in you than he who is in the world.

Today pray for the spirit of wisdom and revelation to consume your mind as it is renewed in knowing Him better.

Believing in Him,
Todd

Re: Are you a Living Sacrifice

"Therefore I urge you , brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good, pleasing, and perfect will." - Romans 12:1-2

The idea of being a sacrifice does not sound appealing. I find it interesting that we are to be living sacrifices. We are bought with a price to benefit the expansion of the Kingdom of God. Just think. Our living sacrifice unto the Lord is an act of Worship.

This may change some of our thoughts on the definition of worship. Everyday we choose to worship God through our lives.

In verse two we find that when we renew our minds and no longer allow our homes and lives to be dictated to, by the pattern of the world, we are able to test and approve what God's will is for our life. God promises in this verse that it is good, pleasing, and perfect.

How many times do you and I ask for God's will. In these two verses we have the ingredients to a beautiful life in the Lord.

Today think about what these verses mean for your daily life.

Todd

Re: Do you know the Voice of the Lord

"The man who enters by the gate is the shepherd of his sheep. The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out, When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them and his sheep follow him because the know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger; in fact they will run away from him because the do not recognize a stranger's voice." - John 10:2-5

According to John 10:3-5, 14-16,27 and 14:15 there is a voice that speaks to us and guides us where we need to be and how we need to obey. Knowing the voice of God is essential for all believers who claim to know the resurrected Lord.

Today challenge yourself to get to know the real "Great I am. We want to tune our ears to the voice of the shepherd so that we would never follow a stranger" We don't want to be deceived by counterfeit that brings destruction in the end.

"The thief comes only to steal and kill, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." - John 10:10

Re: Whose Life is it?

I know, O Lord, that a man's life is not his own; it is not for man to direct his steps. - Jeremiah 10:23

In his heart a man plans his course, but the LORD determines his steps. - Proverbs 16:9

The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. - Psalm 37:23

Once we step across that threshold into new life in Christ we find that our life is no longer our own. As we make our plans God is the one who orders our steps. It is a blessing to know that we can trust in God for He has our best interest at hand. What seems right and logical to our finite minds can hardly be trusted when operating as co-heir with Christ in the Kingdom of God.

That is why being led by the Spirit is so critical as John 14 shares with us that He lives in us and will teach us all things and remind us of what Christ did while here on the earth.

Take a moment today to just soak in the presence of the Lord and all the ways He has directed you in safety, provision, and many others that He will illuminate in your spirit man.

Blessings on your weekend,
Todd

Re: Fix our eyes on the unseen

2 Corinthians 4:16-18 (New International Version)

16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

How encouraging to know that our inner Spirit is being renewed day by day. Thank God today for empowering you to fix your eyes on what is unseen rather than what is seen. Praise God for the eternal. In Him we live and move and have our being.

Todd

Re: Don't Give Up!

Galatians 6:9-10

9Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. 10Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.

I thank God for these simple truths that help us see what is important in life. In an environment today that is hostile to these teachings we can hold fast to these truths. The harvest truly is plentiful and we will reap the many harvests in our lives from our generation and the generations that have gone before us. Don't Give up! Press in to the Lord today. Today, do something good for someone else.

Blessings,
Todd

Re: Return to Me!

Malachi 3:6-7 "I the Lord do not change. So you, O descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed. Ever since the time of your forefathers you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord Almighty.

In the world we live in we need to be confident of our unchanging God and Return to Him and the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. God is ready to use us if we will RETURN TO HIM.

I challenge each of us this week to walk in the Spirit of the Most High God.

Blessings,

Todd

The Word of the Lord is like Fire and a Hammer

Jeremiah 23:29 (King James Version)

29Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

It is comforting to know that the Word of the Lord is powerful active and living. To see that the descriptive adjectives in this verse are fire and a hammer show the power that the Word of God has to pull down strongholds in our lives as well as move mountains that are in our path.

Let's not forget the power of the Word. truly the Word is not just another book to read. The Word is living and active sharper than any double edged sword.

Blessings on your day,
Todd

There is freedom!

2 Corinthians 3:17.

We all know that tomorrow is July 4th and we celebrate the freedom we have in our country.

Let me encourage you to also celebrate the freedom we have in Jesus Christ. The veil has been torn from our eyes and we reflect the Lord’s glory and are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory (2 Corinthians 3: 18).

As most of you enjoy a day off (I know some still have to work), rejoice in the fact that you are a new creation – old things have passed away, behold, all has become new!

Watch the fireworks and let the beauty and bang lift your spirits higher.

In Him –

Rose
