The Voice of the Lord?

The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is majestic; The Voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; The voice of the Lord strikes with flashes of lightening; The voice of the Lord shakes the desert; The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace. - Psalm 29: 3,4,5,7,11

It is true that the Lord has a voice. These verses bring to light the power there is in the voice of the Lord. I am glad to have a God who has a voice that has power and authority in the earth today. I can take comfort in knowing that this is a God that gives me strength and Shalom (peace). This holiday weekend embrace the power, peace, and strength that there is in the voice of the Lord.

To Dwell in the House of the Lord.

The Lord is my light and my salvation 0f whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life - of whom shall I be afraid? One thing I ask of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. - Psalm 27:1,2,4

Have you thought about what it means to dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of your life? I believe this is even possible to do as we live down here on the earth. Think about seeking the Lord and gazing upon His goodness. Once you have tasted and seen the Lord what is there to be afraid of. Today, in the quietness of the hour seek the Lord and watch as He becomes the stronghold of your life. Soak in the presence of the one who called you by name before the foundations of the world were ever laid.

Are your eyes on the Lord?

Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths; guide me in your truth and teach me for you are God my Savior and my hope is in you all day long. My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only he will release my feet from the snare. - Psalm 25:4,5, 15

What a privilege we have to serve a God we can hope in. We can serve a God that can still teach us. A God that can guide us into all truth. It is a blessing to know that he has the power to release my feet from the traps that life brings my way. I pray today that I can keep my eyes continually on the Lord so that I am able to walk in a way that is a pleasing to Him.

Does my Soul Glorify the Lord.

My soul glorifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant from now on all generations will call me blessed, for the Mighty One has done great things for me - holy is his name. His mercy extends to those who fear him, from generation to generation. He has performed mighty deeds with his arm; - Luke 1:47-51a.

The wonder and awe that Mary felt we can never fully experience, but how these verses translate to us is applicable even today. What mighty things has the Lord done for you. Do we still fear the Lord or are we living in a state of fear that is unhealthy that keeps us from the Lord. Today, think on the majesty and the awe of who God is in your life personally and ask Him to show you the mighty deeds he has done in your life. Does your soul like Mary glorify the Lord?

The Temple of God or Idols?

What agreement is there between the temple of God and Idols? For we are the temple of the living God. As God has said: "I will live with them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they will be my people." Therefore come out from them and be separate", says the Lord. - 2 Corinthians 6:16-17

This is a very meaty section of the scriptures. When we begin to evaluate our lives in light of how God sees us you have to ask yourself; what does it mean to come out and be separate for the Lord. Just like a husband and wife on their wedding day present themselves being a separate couple. God knows how He has created you to be a light to the world and what it means to be in the world and not of it.

Where the Spirit of the Lord is?

"But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory are being transformed into his likeness with ever increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit." - 2 Corinthians 3:16-18

Today by the Spirit, turn to the Lord in order to remove the veil that is withholding the freedom you are missing. What issues are you facing that you have a lack of freedom in the Spirit. Reflecting God's glory in our personal ministries and transformation breathes more of God's Glory from the Spirit. In the presence of the Spirit of the Lord there is freedom. Thank God today for the freedom you can experience daily before His throne.

Raise a banner for the Nations

"For Zion's sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem's sake I will not keep quiet. On your walls, O Jerusalem, I have appointed watchmen; All day and all night they will never keep silent. Go through, go through the gates: Clear the way for the people; Build up, build up the highway; Remove the stones, lift up a standard over the people. Behold, the Lord has proclaimed to the end of the earth, Say to the daughter of Zion, 'Lo, your salvation comes;'" - Isaiah 62:1,6,10,11

Today raise the banner high for the nations to see that the God of Israel has a blood covenant with you. As watchmen on the walls take a stand for the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Build up the highway for the Lord. He has created us to be worshippers and make known to the nations His character and attributes at work in the earth today.

At the name of Jesus!

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. - Ephesians 2:9 - 11

Chapter two of Ephesians is a comforting chapter in a world that seems out of control. In a day where wars and rumors of wars and all other manner of evil is present, we can be assured that Ephesians 2:9 -11 is true. We can sustain the victory that we need today by calling on Jesus Name with fear and trembling and confidence, that He will answer us when we call on him.

At the name of Jesus Christ we have access to heaven and life, life more abundant here on earth. Today, press into the authority that we have in the name of JESUS. Whether you have just come to know Jesus or have known him for 40 years claim His place in your life at new depths in your inner man.

Where does your help come from?

I lift up my eyes to the hills - where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the maker of Heaven and Earth. He will not let your foot slip - he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord watches over you - the Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. - Psalm 121:1 - 6

How refreshing to know that God is looking out for our total well being. It is important to see the response we are to have when the storms of life are raging around us. In the first few words of this Psalm it says, I lift up my eyes..... How many of us realize that when the pressure and trials are around us, our physical posture begins to go and we begin to feel the weight of things. Today and in the days to come remember Lift up your eyes... He is the Lifter of our heads.

Immeasurably more than we could Ask?

"I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being. So that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge

that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:16 - 21

There is so much in these few verses. Here are a few questions for us to consider:

Are we rooted and established in Love today?
Are we reaching to be filled with the measure of all fullness in God?
Do we believe in the Immeasurable work that He can do in and through us if we ask him?

What is holding us back today from becoming all that He has for us. I pray these words today would encourage your hearts as you .... Seek First the Kingdom of God.

Do you need Wisdom?

"Consider it put joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. Bet when he asks, he must believe and not doubt." - James 1:1-6a

Many of us in today's society need wisdom. Wisdom goes beyond the fads of the culture we live in. Wisdom is more than just a passing thought or notion.

Solomon himself chose wisdom and we know the results of how God blessed him.

When we come before the Throne of God asking, it is imperative that we believe. This passage of scriptures shows us that God knew before we asked that we would struggle with the believing part.

So today, ask and believe that God can grant you the wisdom to navigate any situation you may be facing. All of us need wisdom. Put doubt out of your mind that is being renewed daily by the washing of the Word. God promises that He is a generous giver.
