TBGM Women’s retreat report

Dear Friends,

Here is a short synopsis of what happened on the women’s retreats:

I chose to speak on “wait,” “promise” and “life.”

On the Nashville retreat there were six women. Although the women did not open up as quickly as in the past, by the end of the retreat when we gathered together we had a great prayer time. That ended our time together well and everyone left refreshed and ready to face a new week. One girl saw God answer her prayer for a job. Another went home and anointed her son with oil and prayed for him (something she would not normally do).

The LA retreat had 10 women who were hungry to know God at a deeper level. One girl had a prayer answered through turtles poking their heads out of the little pond. Other girls received Bible verses that really touched their life. One was thinking of a verse as I played a song and when she received her personalized verse card it was that exact verse. Several other women told me privately that although they did not open up and share much during our time together, that they were challenged by what I said and were pondering on everything.

I have learned that these retreats do not always have immediate results.Sometimes what is said is taken to heart and then a month or six months down the road something happens and they relate it to the retreat. Several women were encouraged to “put their feet into the water a little bit and watch the ripples go forth.” I am anxious to see what the Lord does in their lives as they seek Him. One thing I know for certain, God was present and encouraged us all in one way or another. We all had a “date with God” and took situations we were anxious about and laid them at His feet. We claimed His promises for our lives and now seek to live life to the fullest.

Continue to pray for all the women as they seek to follow their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Pray for me as I continue to walk through some situations with them. God has joined us together for reasons I don’t know yet. I am excited to see where the Lord leads.

Love to you all,

Rose
