About — Touched By Grace Ministries Inc.

Touched by Grace is designed to help equip people for service and to help them understand their individual and corporate callings. We see “Harvesters” who need to realize and understand the “Harvests” that are all around them.

Touched by Grace Ministries was birthed in 1996 in order to be all that God would desire it to become. After 10 years the ministry began to take further shape beyond keeping the name alive and vision in front of our eyes. Rose and Todd had served in the Nashville community as lay leaders for 13 years in church service and helped to plant churches in the city.

Todd and Rose also operated internationally on short term Mission trips in Peru, Africa, Australia, Bahamas, Canada. While Todd was working for the Foreign Press as the Bureau Chief for the Middle East operations he and his wife were called into the Ordained Ministry. Rose and Todd were Ordained as ministers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to defend the faith that has been passed down through the Generations.

Todd and Rose on July 7th, 2007 stepped across the threshold and now serve as the President/Founder and Vice President/Founder of Touched by Grace Ministries. Touched by Grace has a Global presence with operations where ever God opens the doors for them.
Touched By Grace Ministries Inc. operates from Isaiah 61:1-2 “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on us, because the Lord has anointed us to preach good news to the poor. he has sent us to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Blessings,
Todd & Rose

TBGM Fruit Report (Single Mom)

We received this email from a lady, I had an amazing thing happen to me today.....I HEARD GOD, I HEARD HIM, I HEARD HIM, I HEARD HIM!!!!!! THANK YOU GOD.

I was reading a workbook called Action Confession (?). A voice plain as day said to me, "Call Aaron" (my brother). I stopped and was like....what was that?.....I started to read for about 2 seconds and thought....oh my goodness.....that was God.

I dropped what I was doing and called my brother....we had a good conversation and I felt better about the things that have gone on lately and when I got off the phone, I thanked God....it was all I could think about and have thought about since.

It was not a thought it was a voice with specific words, there was clarity as if someone was standing right next to me but I heard it inside my body......AWESOME!!!!

I can't wait to hear him again....HOLY COW, IT WAS INCREDIBLE!!
It actually startled me.....YA HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, I am going to try and get my composure.

TBGM Fruit Report (Love)

Someone shared with me this in an email in the past month, “I just wanted to share with you something profound that happened to me this morning. I'm sitting in a coffee shop writing this, and just a few minutes ago I was staring out the window thinking about what's changed since Todd was here. I think I may have more questions than before he got here, but I also feel like the questions have deconstructed some of the scaffolding that kept me in a fearful/limited state. The most important thing that's changed, though, is the possibility that I too may be able to hear from God. Moments later I felt the most astounding gratefulness I can ever remember feeling. It was tears of peace, joy, tingling but sturdy. It was as if I were connected to the world, but also more than and not limited to the world. It's been a long time since I felt chosen, and part of a bigger plan."

TBGM Fruit Report (Tennessee)

Rose and I received this email from a couple:

Thank you! We were talking and both agree that you and Todd are such an inspiration to us. Living your lives with the Lord and raising 4 kids and having so much strength to do sooooo much. We admire you both and we aspire to be more like you all!

If you all need anything... please let us know

TBGM Fruit Report (Brentwood TN)

Rose has been mentoring a young woman over the past month; the young woman has been in a relationship that has been strained and dysfunctional for 7 years. She called us the other day so excited with the following story, the young woman went to meet the person she has been struggling with. She noticed her chest begin to tighten as she approached the meeting point. There was some small talk and then she took her sunglasses off and looked the person in the eye and said, "I just want you to know that I am sorry if I have done anything to offend you now or in the past and I am praying this relationship will get healthier."The woman looked at her and said. “Well yes, I have been praying too and we need to work together to make things better. The young woman after speaking these words said, "I feel so free and a burden has been lifted."

TBGM Fruit Report (Nashville TN American Red Cross)

had the opportunity to give plasma at the Red Cross the other day and planned to just read my book while donating. The lady taking by plasma asked why we travel so much. I responded in a very bold manner we preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ as the only way to have eternal life. The lady at first I think was taken back. The lady went to her desk and began processing some paperwork. I began to read my book.

After about 5 minutes she came over and began to pour her heart out to me about her family and the dysfunction that she has seen with her other siblings and boyfriend. I had the opportunity to just be the listening ear for about 45 minutes. You could see in her eyes she needed someone to talk to.

TBGM Fruit Report (Whole Foods Grocery Clerk)

Rose and I were with the family at Whole Foods the other day, buying food for the TBGM women’s retreat and we were in the check out line. I began bagging the groceries and the clerk said, “Thank you for helping me”. I said in reply, “In Israel we bag the groceries all the time that is the custom of the country. we are used to this when we travel.” The lady asked, “What we do in Israel?” I was waiting for the persecution to hit when I said, “we are now ministers of the Gospel”. There sometimes is a stigma that goes along with being a minister that it would be easier to be a lawyer or doctor. The lady at the check out counter said, “That is great, how exciting.” You could see the genuine expression in her eyes that she was encouraged by what we were doing with our family of six traveling the world to tell others about Jesus Christ. So much so that she said, “She would love to teach English as a second language.” I said to her, “there is a lot of opportunity for that and maybe you can travel with us one day.” I gave her our business card and blessed her as we left the store.

TBGM Fruit --- Single Mom Praise

Ministry partners!

Rose and I are so excited about how God is producing fruit through the empowerment of His Spirit working on our lives. We wanted to share some of the fruit.

Joel 3:13-14 “Swing the sickle for the harvest is ripe come; trample the grapes, for the wine press is full and the vats overflowing…. So great is their wickedness!” Multitudes, Multitudes in the valley of decision: For the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision.

How true these verses are for all of our lives even after making the decision to follow Christ we have decisions to make to take ownership of our Faith and begin the sowing reaping principles. As our heavenly father the vinedresser comes and prunes us we can expect fruit the will last to come from our lives according to

John 15:1, “You did not choose me, but I chose you to go and bear fruit, fruit that will last.

A single Mom, from the eastern part of the United States, called to say the following, “Thank you so much for speaking with me on the phone the other night. I did not realize that we were on the phone for two hours. I have begun speaking out about my faith and relationship with God more freely and it has so rewarding to see how God is showing me others who believe and have faith in Him too.”

Jesus Christ's Power Displayed

John 18:6
As soon as he had said unto them, I AM HE they went backward, and fell to the ground.

It is interesting to note that no one could aprehend Jesus. Jesus gave himself over willingly. It is wonderful to see the power that words have when spoken. Jesus said only three words. I AM HE I love serving a risen Lord.

Welcome to the Touched by Grace Blog

Thank you for coming to our blog. We are excited about the opportunities to begin helping people spiritually discover their God given giftings and abilities. Rose and I pray you are encouraged and blessed by how God is the one at work in our lives.

Heart Trouble

For from within, out of the heart of man come evil thoughts, fornication, theft, murder, adultery, coveting, wickedness, deceit, licentiousness, envy, slander, pride foolishness,. All these evil things come from within, and they defile a man. Mark 7:21-23 RSV

Jesus indicated that our problem is heart trouble. To have a spiritual awakening, the corss of Jesus Christ must be central in all teaching, preaching and practice. ..... Billy Graham.... Unto the Hills....

Tender and Responsive Heart

2 Chronicles 34:27

Like Josiah, I want a tender and responsive heart, So that I will humble myself before you when I hear your word.

I was moved by this verse this morning in our devotional time. I pray that we will all seek a tender and responsive heart. I thank God for the word of God that we have that is active and living.

TBGM - Nehemiah's Prayer

Nehemiah after hearing the things about Jerusalem was deeply moved.

4 When I heard these things, I sat down and wept. For some days I mourned and fasted and prayed before the God of heaven. 5 Then I said:"O LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love him and obey his commands, 6 let your ear be attentive and your eyes open to hear the prayer your servant is praying before you day and night for your servants, the people of Israel. I confess the sins we Israelites, including myself and my father's house, have committed against you. 7 We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed the commands, decrees and laws you gave your servant Moses.
8 "Remember the instruction you gave your servant Moses, saying, 'If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations,
9 but if you return to me and obey my commands, then even if your exiled people are at the farthest horizon, I will gather them from there and bring them to the place I have chosen as a dwelling for my Name.'
10 "They are your servants and your people, whom you redeemed by your great strength and your mighty hand. 11 O Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man."
I was cupbearer to the king.

It is great to see in Nehemiah's prayer that when we return to God and obey His commands that He will gather us all from among the nations to be a people set apart for Him. Let us abandon our idols and our temporal mindsets and come back to God and obey His commands. The promises are to great to number of how God wants to lavish His love upon us.

TBGM (Circuit City Gospel Encounter)

Today I was led to go to Circuit City to have my computer repaired for a problem that I was encountering with my notebook. I did not get my lap top fixed, but I did get to share the Gospel. After explaining to the customer service helper my need for this laptop, she explained to me that she couldn't help me.

I told her that I travel alot and need my computer wireless card to be fixed as we are in different countries. She said, "You should bring me on as your IT help." She then asked, "What do you do?" I said ,"I am a minister of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, but we are not affiliated with a church, we are our own nonprofit. She responded and said, "That is great, I don't like organized religion at all." So, I blessed her left the store and went about my day.

My wife called to let me know that this lady called our home based on an earlier call I put into Circuit City. She identified with Rose that I was the same guy that was in the store earlier. The lady on the phone said, "Oh, was he the minister that was here, I really liked him."
We never know what impact we will have on someone when we honestly share who we are and what we represent.

This should also be a lesson that the world is struggling with how the "Organized Religious Community" is viewed. How are we presenting ourselves to a lost and dying world is the question we must ask ourselves.

TBGM (Women's retreat Nashville)

Rose,

I have to say that I loved the retreat and I really felt that I heard from the Lord on several issues that I had going on in my life. I really felt at peace about things after the retreat with a refreshing of the spirit and mind. I think that is was amazing how God had it all planned out several months ago and that I had no idea what would be going on in my life.

This retreat came right in the middle of my last two weeks of a very stressful job. God knew that I needed to be refreshed right in the middle to be able to make it to the end and the Lord knew exactly what I needed to hear from him. It has been amazing this week how God has blessed me with a new job, and I do not believe this is the end of the story yet.

I would encourage women to get away from their busy lives for 24 hours and see what God has in store for you.

Prayer

Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer. Romans 12:12, NIV

If there are any tears shed in heaven, they will be over the fact that we prayed so little. Heaven is full of answers to prayer for which no one ever bothered to ask! - Billy Graham

Prayer is a vital part of our relationship with God. Prayer is our communication line to our creator. Let us press into the Father's business today. - Todd Horton

Psalm 20 NIV

One of our Board Members Spoke this over our lives the other day.

1 May the LORD answer you when you are in distress;may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2 May he send you help from the sanctuaryand grant you support from Zion.

3 May he remember all your sacrificesand accept your burnt offerings.Selah

4 May he give you the desire of your heartand make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victoriousand will lift up our banners in the name of our God.May the LORD grant all your requests.

6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;he answers him from his holy heavenwith the saving power of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

8 They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.

9 O LORD, save the king!Answer [a] us when we call!

TBGM (Finger Prints of God)

Today I called to pay our cellular phone bill, after receiving adequate funds to pay the bill, as we live by faith. Our service was turned off for 4 days as we waited for the needed funds to come in. Today, somebody gave us $100.00 so that I could pay our bill and activate our service again.

When I called to turn the service on the agent helping me preceeded to tell me that he would waive the $5 agent fee for helping pay the bill and the $35 reconnect fee. I did not even have to ask. I told him that we always try to pay our bill as soon as we have the money. The agent on the other end of the phone merely said, “I understand”.

On Friday when our service was interrupted I was on the phone with a good friend and she said, “You should ask sometimes they will wave those fees?” So I said, “That would be great if the Lord would wave those fees?”

I love the fingerprint of God and the Grace He has on our lives.
Todd

TBGM (Church without walls)

Acts 2:4 “And all of them were filled with the Holy Spirit.”

The early church had no church buildings, no Bibles, no automobiles, no planes, no trains, no television, no radio. Yet they turned their world “upside down” for Christ. They instituted a spiritual revolution simply because they were filled with the Spirit.

TBGM Women’s retreat report

Dear Friends,

Here is a short synopsis of what happened on the women’s retreats:

I chose to speak on “wait,” “promise” and “life.”

On the Nashville retreat there were six women. Although the women did not open up as quickly as in the past, by the end of the retreat when we gathered together we had a great prayer time. That ended our time together well and everyone left refreshed and ready to face a new week. One girl saw God answer her prayer for a job. Another went home and anointed her son with oil and prayed for him (something she would not normally do).

The LA retreat had 10 women who were hungry to know God at a deeper level. One girl had a prayer answered through turtles poking their heads out of the little pond. Other girls received Bible verses that really touched their life. One was thinking of a verse as I played a song and when she received her personalized verse card it was that exact verse. Several other women told me privately that although they did not open up and share much during our time together, that they were challenged by what I said and were pondering on everything.

I have learned that these retreats do not always have immediate results.Sometimes what is said is taken to heart and then a month or six months down the road something happens and they relate it to the retreat. Several women were encouraged to “put their feet into the water a little bit and watch the ripples go forth.” I am anxious to see what the Lord does in their lives as they seek Him. One thing I know for certain, God was present and encouraged us all in one way or another. We all had a “date with God” and took situations we were anxious about and laid them at His feet. We claimed His promises for our lives and now seek to live life to the fullest.

Continue to pray for all the women as they seek to follow their Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. Pray for me as I continue to walk through some situations with them. God has joined us together for reasons I don’t know yet. I am excited to see where the Lord leads.

Love to you all,

Rose
