Trials of Many Kinds!

James, A servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad, greeting. My brethren count it all joy when you fall into divers temptations knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire wanting nothing. If any of you lack wisdom. Let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith not wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. James 1:1-6/4:7

Have you ever paused to think of the temptations of divers or many kinds James speaks about. I pause to reflect on the matter that James is discussing here. I believe as we move forward with pinpoint accuracy for what God has placed in our hearts, we will be misunderstood and even at times persecuted. I believe that it will not always make sense to everyone around you what you are doing or how you are doing it. What I do believe is that God will confirm to you alone through others or situations or circumstances His purposes.

A wise man once told me, “that the devil will fight you on both sides to keep you from what God wants for you.” The devil and the flesh are looking for every excuse to wedge into your life to keep you from your daily destiny with God. In our society today, the ways of man do not conform with the ways of God. I challenge you today, that if God is speaking to your heart about matters do precisely as He instructs. God and God alone is the one you will have to stand before at the judgment seat of Christ. Do not waver once you have asked for the mind of God (Wisdom) and have received that wisdom. God is the only one who truly knows the heart and its motivations. Even in our best attempt to share what God is doing in your life you can be misunderstood or misinterpreted by others around you. Step out in your confidence to the Lord and His requests. You will not be disappointed.

Blessings on your weekend,
Todd
